TYPES OF OPTIMIZATION MATERIALS IN DIVISION 2

Optimization materials fall into 4 categories:

Item-specific materials: Weapon & Gear Alloy

Faction materials: Assessments

Project materials: SHD calibration

Control Point/Landmark materials: Field Recon Data

HOW TO GET OPTIMIZATION MATERIALS IN DIVISION 2?

Item-specific materials can be earned by deconstructing weapons or gear of the same type.

Faction materials can be looted from faction enemies.

Project materials can be obtained by completing Daily and Weekly Projects.

Control Point/Landmark materials can be earned by completing Control Points, Landmarks or Summit floors.

Apart from the above mentioned sources for these materials, there are some blueprints that allow the players to get optimization materials by using standard crafting materials. So you can buy optimization resources in exchange of the standard materials. However, those blueprints are very rare and can be only rewarded upon completing Control Points on the highest tier or certain projects.
