HOW TO RANK UP IN DOTA 2
Dota 2 Ranked mode is only available to players who have played casual games for more than 100 hours; a requirement for new players to familiarize themselves with the game's complex mechanics or different champions. After that, you'll need to play ten calibration games to determine your starting rank.
There are eight ranks in Dota 2, each further split into five tiers. You will receive a medal for each position achieved:

- Guardian – 770 to 1386 MMR points.
- Crusader – 1540 to 2156 MMR points.
- Archon – 2310 to 2926 MMR points.
- Legend – 3080 to 3696 MMR points.
